Product Description
C86300 Manganese Bronze (SAE 430B) is a high strength alloy used as bushings, bearings, gears, gibs, screw down nuts, bridge pins, bridge plates, valve stems and hydraulic cylinder parts. This alloy is generally used in heavy load applications. It performs best at low speeds with reliable lubrication. It finds use in Steel Mill Equipment, Wood Pulp Industry, Marine Applications and Earth Moving Machinery. Larger rings and tubes can be centrifugal or sand cast.
Other terms for this alloy are: Manganese Bronze Bar, CDA 86300, High Tensile Manganese Bronze, SAE 430 B, SAE430B, ASTM B147-8C, High Strength Yellow Brass, ASTM B505-C 86300, ASTM B271-C 86300, Manganese Bronze Rounds, Manganese Bronze Tubes, ASTM B22 C86300 bridge plates, SAE J461; SAE J462, AMS 4862, MIL C 15345 Alloy 6, QQC 390 Alloy 86300, MIL C22229 Composition 8, Ingot # 424.
Notice: The weights listed are the best estimates of the actual weights we will ship. They are a combination of the calculated theoretical weights and an average of actual weights. Our weights are conservative to the heavier side but there may be slight variations in weight from bar to bar.
The Physical, Fabrication and Thermal Properties shown here represent reasonable approximations suitable for general engineering use. Due to commercial variations in compositions and to manufacturing limitations, they should not be used for specification purposes.
