Product Description
C95510 Heat Treated Nickel Aluminum Bronze (AMS 4880) is one of the highest strength nickel-bearing aluminum bronzes. It exhibits excellent yield, compressive strength, high hardness and adequate elongation. It is a good bearing material suitable for heavy duty and high impact applications. C95510 exhibits excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance, good machinability and weldability. Its additional strength is achieved through heat treating. It is used as heavy duty bushings and bearings, gears, and wear parts. C95510 finds use in marine applications as well as pump parts, machine tool parts, aircraft parts and military applications. It is specified most often as bearing components in aircraft landing gear. AMS 4880 aluminum bronze can be continuous cast and also centrifugally cast. There are many cases where C95510 per AMS 4880 can be substituted for C63000 per AMS 4640.
Other terms for this alloy are: Heat Treated Nickel Aluminum Bronze Tube, ASTM B 505 Alloy 95510, ASTM B 148-9D HT, SAE J461; SAE J462, AMS 4880, ASTM B271 Alloy 95510, QQC 390 Alloy 95510, WCI 230 B and CA95510
Notice: The weights listed are the best estimates of the actual weights we will ship. They are a combination of the calculated theoretical weights and an average of actual weights. Our weights are conservative to the heavier side but there may be slight variations in weight from bar to bar.
The Physical, Fabrication and Thermal Properties shown here represent reasonable approximations suitable for general engineering use. Due to commercial variations in compositions and to manufacturing limitations, they should not be used for specification purposes.
