Product Description
C90700 Tin Bronze (SAE 65) is a hard, strong alloy with good corrosion resistance, especially in seawater. As a bearing material it resists both wear and fatigue applications. It is moderately machinable. C90700 is widely used for gears and worm wheels, bearings, marine fittings, piston rings and pump components.
Other terms for this alloy are: Gear Bronze; ASTM B 505 Alloy 90700; SAE 65; ASTM B 271 Alloy 90700; SAE J461; SAE J462; QQC 390 Alloy 90700; ASTM B427 Alloy 90700
Notice: The weights listed are the best estimates of the actual weights we will ship. They are a combination of the calculated theoretical weights and an average of actual weights. Our weights are conservative to the heavier side but there may be slight variations in weight from bar to bar.
The Physical, Fabrication and Thermal Properties shown here represent reasonable approximations suitable for general engineering use. Due to commercial variations in compositions and to manufacturing limitations, they should not be used for specification purposes.
